The Living Room

I finally uploaded a few before pictures of my Living Room.

This is a shot of my living room as it stands today (well actually I took this a couple of weeks ago). As you can see some things have changed from the time I did the video back in October. For instance I have a wingback chair, I picked it up at a surplus sale a month or two ago for only $5. I'm covering it right now with a tapestry that a friend got me for Christmas. I originally had the tapestry hanging up on the wall but I thought it could be better used here. The coffee table is new and I got that at the same sale for a $1. I plan on redoing both of these items, I'm just not sure how I want to do it. I'm going to change the fabric on the chair, it's a green and tan stripe that is so not my style and the fabric is scratchy. But the chair is oh so comfortable to sit in. The table isn't my style but I think I can make it work.

Looking across from the sofa. The curtains are very temporary I took them from my mom's place, I needed something to put up since I'm on the first floor and facing the parking lot. I recently read that one should put up the same colored window coverings as your walls if you have light colored walls to help make the walls look on purpose or something like that. Since my walls aren't quite white, more of a soft cream beige that might be difficult. I plan on changing the the TV set up. I really want a old dresser to place there. But I don't know yet.

Another shot of the living room. You can see the picture of Captain Jack my sister got me a few Christmas back. I plan on adding some more frames with pictures and prints of Jacks I love, ie. Jack Skellington. I'm still trying to figure of the layout of the room. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
